​We enable a safe, educational and fun on-water programme called Safe Waters.

Through Safe Waters it is our mission to ensure all New Zealanders have access to Essential Water Safety Education.

Thousands of people each year participate in Safe Waters during Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC) experiences during school time and beach outings for other communities.

Safe Waters has three main Outcomes:

• To offer safe interactions with
  our natural marine environment with an emphasis on Personal Safety in the Water
  
  
• To enhance team spirit and participation in water-based activities through Adventure Based Learning
  
  
• Building Kaitiakitanga & promoting environmental conservation so that our participants will love and protect our ocean
  
  

We are inclusive of All Ages and Abilities and modify our boards to suit differing ability levels.

Safe Waters Education & Environment Trust (SWEET) was created by four ocean enthusiasts who are passionate about bringing essential water safety and environmental education to the people in Aotearoa who need it most. 

Our Vision is to inspire a world where the ocean is clean, healthy and productive for all to enjoy for generations to come.

Our Passion is to inspire others to love, protect and enjoy our natural environment through safe interactions with the water.

We are based in Northland and offer this programme from Auckland to the Far North to our high risk, low socio-economic communities. Our goal is to build enough momentum to run this programme Nation wide.
